Which Plans Are Right For You?
Navigating the health insurance world is almost never easy. Choosing a plan that fits you or your family can feel like finding a needle in a haystack, and that’s where we come in. We meet with you to discuss your specific needs, budget, and concerns. From there, we propose a number of options that we feel are best for you. No matter what you’re looking for, we can help you find the best option for you.
What To Consider When Choosing A Plan:
Types of Plans
- Exclusive Provider Organizations (EPO Plans) are when your services are covered only if you use the specified doctors, specialists, or hospitals in the plan’s network.
- Health Maintenance Organizations (HMO plans) limit coverage to care from doctors who work for or are contracted with that specific HMO. These plans often provide integrated care with a focus on prevention and wellness.
- Point of Service Plans (POS plans) allow you to pay less if you use doctors, hospitals, or other providers that are in the plan’s network. They also require a referral from your PCP to see a specialist.
- Preferred Provider Organizations (PPO plans) offer lower costs when you use providers within the plan’s network, but allow you to use doctors, hospitals, and providers outside their network without a referral for an additional cost.
“I have been working with Geoff for over 15 years. He has always been available, responsive and provided advice and information we needed to make the informed decisions for our family’s needs and goals.”
